The GamiFOREST: A UNITE Symposium, will take place the 29th of April 2022 in a hybrid format. It will be dedicated to the exploration of the role of gamification and playful technologies in mediating the human experience of forest areas and of nature in general.
The symposium will feature invited speakers, posters and selected abstract presentations as well as offer an opportunity to network with experts on the four areas of the project.
Abstract submission is now OPEN and particularly welcome (but not limited) on applying gamefulness in the topics below:
· Innovative techniques to produce new data (i.e. sensors and intelligent algorithms; automatisation in forestry; forest data procurement).
· Agile knowledge creation from forest data (i.e. remote sensing, monitoring, interactions between trees and the environment)
· Forest interaction for meaningful experiences and practices – authors working on this research topic can also submit their work as a full paper for the GamiFIN program.
· Smart decision support for human action in space and time (i.e. science-based, smart solutions and tools, operations and logistics, multifunctional management)
