UNITE is one of the organisers this year and welcomes you to the conference. IBFRA Conference brings together researchers, companies, policymakers, and members from civil society to discuss the future of boreal forests, the second most extensive terrestrial biome on earth.
The main theme of the 20th IBFRA conference is Climate resilient and sustainable forest management, and the conference week is full of interesting presenters, topics and experiences.
UNITE will host an afternoon stakeholder event on Wednesday 30.8. at 13:15 – 17:15 ‘How to enhance science-policy-practice dialogue? What practice gains from novel research findings and scientific innovations?’ This is an inspiring interaction opportunity for those interested in forestry! The programme includes:
– presentations and discussions by forestry experts and researchers,
– experimentation and co-creation,
– the latest innovations in research, from optical forest measurement methods to the possibilities offered by gamification
The event fee is 92e for on site participation, and there is a free of charge online stream for the presentations part. This year the conference will be organised in Little Finlandia, a new wooden pavilion-like experience center, located centrally in the middle of the most beautiful area of Helsinki, Finland.
